Hi there! I'm Mason, a strategy director who believes in the power of human-centered design to unlock the true potential of brands. I've spent my career shaping businesses from various industries, always focusing on creating delightful and meaningful experiences for the end user. Below is my professional story.
From UC Berkeley to CP+B
My love for strategy began at UC Berkeley and led me to Crispin Porter + Bogusky (CP+B), where I worked in their Product and Brand Invention division. I embraced the challenge of creating innovative brands while working directly with C-suite executives. At CP+B, I notably helped lead the rebrand of TomboyX which resulted in the company’s rapid growth and ultimately sales growing from under $2M to receiving a $40M investment from a major venture firm out of London.
Noun Ventures: Building and Reinventing Brands
When our group spun out of CP+B to form Noun Ventures, I joined as a partner. Together, we launched, invented, or rebranded eight companies, including Tequio (tequila), Pit Liquor (natural deodorant), Hello Gorgeous (rosé vodka spritzer), Protein Puck (protein bar), and The People's Farm (vertical farm).
Sid Lee: Leading Brand Design for Global Clients
Now, as a Strategy Director at Sid Lee, I lead strategy in their brand transformation division, working on exciting projects like rebranding Cirque du Soleil and Dar Group. I bring my unique background and human-centered approach to every project, always striving to make a positive impact on my clients’ businesses while improving people's lives through engaging and meaningful brand experiences, offerings, and initiatives.
Personal Life
I live in Golden, Colorado with my wife and our Golden Retriever. We love the beautiful mountains and enjoy camping in the summer and skiing/snowboarding in the winters.
